SPIN Tracker
Look up E-Rate service providers by name or SPIN code from the USAC provider registry.
What is a SPIN?
A Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) is a unique 9-digit code assigned to every vendor registered to provide E-Rate-funded services. Vendors must hold an active SPIN to be paid through the E-Rate program.
How to search
By provider name: Type the company name — full or partial. Searches both the official provider name and DBA name.
By SPIN code: Enter the 9-digit SPIN code for an exact lookup.
Natural language: Type "Cisco Systems" or "fiber providers in California" — the AI extracts the provider name and optional state filter.
Reading the results
Each row shows:
- ·SPIN — the 9-digit identification number
- ·Provider Name — official registered name
- ·DBA — doing-business-as name if different
- ·State — mailing state
- ·Contact — general contact name, email, and phone
Verifying a vendor
Before signing an E-Rate contract, verify that the vendor holds an active SPIN and that their FCC Form 498 is current. A lapsed 498 will prevent USAC from processing invoices.
Common use cases
- ·Verifying a vendor is SPIN-registered before award
- ·Finding the contact for a provider you want to do business with
- ·Checking if a provider's DBA matches their SPIN registration
