AI Q&A Chat
A persistent, context-aware chat assistant grounded in FY2026 E-Rate source documents.
Knowledge base
Every answer is grounded in:
- ·FY2026 Eligible Services List (DA 25-1069) — the authoritative list of what is and isn't eligible
- ·USAC E-Rate Glossary — official definitions of E-Rate terms
- ·USAC FY2026 Training Materials — program rules and compliance guidance
Answers include a source citation and a confidence level (Confirmed / Best Practice / Unverified).
Starting a conversation
Click AI Q&A in the sidebar. If you have no previous chats, you'll see the empty state with four suggested starter prompts — click any to begin.
Type your question in the input box and press Enter to send. Press Shift+Enter for a new line.
Conversation memory
The assistant remembers everything said in the current conversation. You can ask follow-up questions without repeating context:
"Are Cisco Meraki APs eligible?" > "What about the licensing?" > "And if we use a standalone controller instead?"
Each conversation is saved to your account automatically.
Managing conversations
New chat: Click "New Chat" in the conversation sidebar to start fresh.
Switch conversations: Click any previous conversation in the sidebar to reload it.
Delete a conversation: Hover a conversation and click the trash icon.
Confidence levels
| Level | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | Directly stated in the FY2026 ESL or USAC guidance |
| Best Practice | Consistent with USAC guidance but not explicitly stated |
| Unverified | Based on general E-Rate knowledge — verify with USAC |
Limitations
The assistant does not have access to your specific account, FRNs, or application status. For account-specific questions, contact USAC directly at 1-888-203-8100.
