Record Storage

Store, organize, and retrieve E-Rate compliance documents securely. All file content is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.

Why this matters

USAC requires E-Rate applicants to retain all program-related records for 10 years after the last date of service. Failure to produce records during an audit can result in funding clawbacks. Record Storage gives you a centralized, organized repository that's always audit-ready.

Uploading documents

  1. 1.Drag and drop a file onto the upload zone, or click to browse
  2. 2.Select the document type, funding year, and optionally the district name and BEN
  3. 3.Add notes if needed
  4. 4.Click Upload Document

Accepted formats: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PNG, JPG — maximum 10MB per file

Filtering and searching

Use the filter bar to narrow documents by funding year, document type, or search by district name or BEN. All results update instantly.

Downloading documents

Click the Download button on any row to reconstruct the original file and save it to your device. The file is decrypted on-the-fly during download.

Deleting documents

Click Delete on any row. You will be prompted to confirm before the record is permanently removed.

Security

All file content is encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being stored in the database. The encryption key is stored separately from the data. Files cannot be read by anyone without the application's encryption key — including database administrators.
